This is our colorful playground. It is fun. There are 3 parallel bars, and 2 bars on each set of parallel bars. How many bars in all?

Our playground has 3 sets of monkey bars. There are 7 bars on each set. How many bars are there on all of the monkey bars?

In our music room there were 2 rows of music notes written on the chalkboard. There were 7 notes in each row. How many music notes were there in all?

Our class has classroom jobs. This picture shows who has what jobs. This job chart shows 2 columns with 20 cards in each column. One column shows the jobs and the other shows the names. How many cards are there in all?

At music we use books. The books have colors on the cover and the three colors are purple, blue and green. We have twenty-seven kids in our class. Each kid gets three books. How many books in all?

This is the room we have gym class /PE (Physical Education) in. There are 6 papers hanging on the wall. Each paper has 3 rules. How many rules are there in all?

In our music room there are 5 tables and there are 4 stools at each table. If people are sitting on all of the stools, how many people would there be in all?

There are three sets of windows in our classroom. There are nine window panes in each set. How many window panes are in our classroom all together?

In our school there are pictures the fifth graders made in art class. We have 3 rows and 4 columns of pictures. How many pictures in all?

On the blacktop at the playground we can play four-square. There are 4 four-square boxes. Four people can play in each one at a time. If all the boxes are filled, how many people are playing four-square?

There are squares on the rug in the Music room. There are four sides and six squares on each side. How many squares are there in all?

At soccer practice the benches were filled. There were 6 benches. There can be 24 people on each bench. How many people were at practice?

When we go up or down the stairs we always pass this set of windows. There are 3 rows with 3 windows in each row. How many windows in all?

Our school runs on a 6-day cycle. We have a different special each day. This chart shows our specials. There are 3 columns and 7 rows. How many spaces are on the chart?

We use these Mac laptops. There are 2 carts of Mac computers. There are 14 computers in each cart. How many computers in all?

My teacher uses these shelves to keep homework papers. There are 3 columns with shelves of homework papers, and there are 8 shelves with homework papers in each column. How many shelves are there in all?

Our school has 2 floors. We have to use the stairs to get to our classroom. There are 2 sets of stairs. There are 20 steps in each set of stairs. How many stairs in all?

In our cafeteria there are four tables. Every day the tables fill up with kids. 32 kids can sit at each table. If all the tables fill up how many kids are there in all?

Now that spring has arrived and the weather is turning nice outside, I thought that this would be an excellent time to discuss your favorite time of the year.  My favorite season is Summer.  I like summer because I love swimming and going to the beach.  I love surfing and laying in the sun and getting a tan.  I would much rather be outside than inside during this beautiful time of the year. 

What season is your favorite?  Why do you like it more than all of the others? 

On April 22, 2008, the Presidential Primaries are coming to Pennsylvania.  This Primary is so important for the Democratic Party.  It will help determine which candidate, Hillary Clinton or Barak Obama, will be selected to run for President.  Our class has been discussing and debating who we would like to become the next President since it is such an important job.  I have a question for you.  What characteristics, personality traits, and experiences are important for the President to have?
